
Getting lean requires you to adhere to several primary weight loss conditions. These conditions must be met if you want to lose weight and keep it off. If you consistently abide by the weight loss conditions, then you will be well on your way to getting the body of your dreams.
The first condition is that you must create a calorie deficit in your diet. If you continue to eat the same amount of calories that maintain your weight, I'm sorry to say that you are destined to fail. You must cut back on the amount of calories you eat. This does not mean sacrificing taste. In many cases if your diet is healthy, just cutting back on your portion size maybe all you need to do.
Next, there's exercise. Most of you guys want to lose the weight quickly. Well, it ain't going to happen unless you exercise. Short of cutting it out, exercise along with diet is the quickest means to losing weight. And the more vigorous the exercise, the better. This doesn't mean going out at an all out sprint with each exercise. It does mean getting to your fat burning heart rate and staying there for at least 20 to 30 minutes.
If you go longer, sip on a sports drink. You don't have to drink the whole thing though. The reason for this is that your body needs carbs to help burn fat. If the carbs are gone, then it will use muscle and you don't want to do that.
Another one of the weight loss conditions you must meet has to do with the types of foods you eat. Contrary to what you have probably heard, carbohydrates are not bad. If fact they are necessary as they supply needed nutrients to your body. The type of carbohydrates that are the best for you are the low glycemic ones such as lentils, broccoli, spinach and whole grains. Sometime known as fat burning foods, they require your body to expend more calories digesting them, than they actually provide to your body.
An overlooked, but extremely important weight loss condition has to do with the amount of meals you eat a day. Every time you eat, your body has to expend energy, i.e. burn calories, to digest the food. By decreasing your meal sizes and increasing the number of times you eat a day helps to keep your body working to burn calories. This not only allows you to burn more calories, but it also helps to speed up your metabolism, which is another important weight loss condition.
In short, if you stick to these weight loss conditions, you will lose weight, period. Depending on how overweight you are, it may come quickly of it may take some time. The important thing is to stay consistent and stay committed. You'll be seeing the fruits of your labor before you know it. aspect
